Fireworks

Fireworks are not allowed at Philmont. For the past several years there has been EXTREME FIRE DANGER EVERYWHERE at Philmont. Fireworks take fire and put it in the air which takes fire danger and spreads it around. On top of that, it is against principal number 7 of Leave No Trace: Respect other visitors. If you are making loud noises you will be scaring wildlife away from your area. Every campsite at Philmont will be occupied by at least one crew other than your crew. Not only will you be disturbing the other crew, but you will be scaring wildlife away from them ruining their wilderness experience.
