Calculating the Costs
The largest cost in driving is the gas. To accurately estimate the fuel costs, we recommend using the this Trip Calculator Tool from Uncle Sam. When estimating the fuel costs, it is always better to over-estimate your gas cost then it is to find yourself at the pump over budget. Calculate gas at $4.00 to $4.50 per gallon. These may seem like painfully high prices, but in the summers the average gas prices in and around Cimarron are $3.80.
