Flashlight

Flashlights are something that every person in your crew should have. It may seem like a lot of extra weight, but they will come in handy more times than you think! Consider investing in a light, camping flashlight if you can. It will really cut down on what you have to carry, and they are extremely durable pieces of equipment.

Most importantly, remember to put new batteries in your flashlight when you’re packing for Philmont. You shouldn’t need to include a second set of fresh batteries–the first set should more than last you through your trek.
