Fleece Jacket

The mornings and evenings at Philmont can be cold. You will find yourself looking for something warm to wear at these times. A fleece jacket is a great item to have. Make sure your jacket does not have any cotton in it. You want it to be made of a wool or a polar fleece. If you invest in a good fleece, it will last you for many years to come. Fleeces come in all shapes and sizes. When fleece shopping, you want to get the most compact and the warmest fleece for it’s weight. This is one of the most important items you will be taking with you.

Keep in mind that most fleeces are not windproof. If there is wind you will need to put on a windbreaker or rain jacket.
