Philmont is a wilderness experience. It is one of the few chances these days when you can take a step back and completely unplug yourself from society. If you give Philmont a chance, and leave the electronic distractions at home, you will notice something you have never seen in your life. If you spend your time playing with your electronic devices, trying to charge them and stay connected to the world you are going to miss out on the true Philmont experience. We promise, if there is an emergency, major political issue, or sports event such as the Olympics Philmont Staff Members will share that information with you. There is a right way and a wrong way to do everything. Taking electronics on the Philmont Trek is the wrong way to go to Philmont.
