If you are going to Philmont on a budget and you don’t have a backpack in good condition, or you arrive and your pack has broken, Philmont will take care of you. Philmont has a great selection of Pack rentals for $18 for the trek, payable by cash or check.

Over the past few years, Philmont’s rental pack program has expanded. It’s used as a testing ground by Osprey and JanSport for their new backpacks. Trust us, they’re good. Philmont does not have enough to supply to everyone, so do your best to bring your own pack.
