Clothing to Take
When gathering the clothing you will take on the trail, make sure you select clothing with multiple uses. Think about what you can do to minimize how many articles of clothing you can bring. You can’t do much to reduce your socks and underwear; but instead of bringing a heavy sweater for warmth, you could bring a long sleeved synthetic shirt and put it under your rain jacket to provide the same warmth for a lot less weight and space (volume) in your pack.
