Dining Fly
Weight: 4 pounds | |
Size: 12 ft by 12 ft | |
Equipment Needed: 8 Stakes, 2 Dining Fly Poles, & Nylon Cord
Use: The dining fly is used as a crew storage and shelter. You will store crew gear underneath the dining fly at night. Store your packs with the pack cover facing down and the pack straps up. This way the dining fly will protect your straps from getting wet and your pack cover will protect your gear from any water. You should Setup the Dining Fly so it is short and wide.
Note: If you are purchasing or bringing a your own crew dining fly, make sure it is waterproof. If one side of the dining fly is sticky, that is a sign that the waterproofing has broken down and needs to be replaced or repaired. |
Any camp structure must not be attached to trees. You will use either Dining Fly Poles or Trekking Poles to support your dining fly.
